The Calgary Society of Independent Filmmaker's post-production facility is a Mac based invironment, G5 computers with a minimum of 2 Gb of Ram. Final Cut Pro is used for video editing and Nuendo 2.0 is available audio editing and mixing. The CSIF uses an Aurora Pipe Studio capture card and Pinnacle Cinewave capture card for Analog, SDI and High Definition video capture.

Other software available in these suites include: Photoshop, Illustrator, DVD Studio Pro, After Effects and Silhouette Roto. The CSIF also uses Automatic Duck for exporting FCP sequences into After Effects compositions and Magic Bullet Suite HD for 29.97 fps video conversions to 24P, as well as to treat the look of the video.

As well, the CSIF has an extensive library of Sound Effects from Sound Ideas.
