Spring 2008 Workshop Schedule
GRANT INFORMATION SESSION Jonathan Meakin from the AFA and Stephen Williams from the Canada Council will present information sessions on grant programs for the media arts. CSIF Summer Media Arts Camp for Teens This summer, Calgary teenagers ages 14 – 17 will have an opportunity to write, direct, shoot and edit a film in the Summer Media Arts Camp. The Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers (CSIF) is joining local teens with professional filmmakers for this camp, which takes place July 21 – Aug. 1, 2008. This hands-on experience is the only camp of its kind in Calgary offering youths great experience in the art of film production.

Deadline Dec 2, 08. 2008 Summer Media Arts Camp for Teens The CSIF is proud to present the 17th annual Summer Media Arts Camp to be held July 21 to August 1, 2008. This unique opportunity allows teenagers aged 14 to 17 to write, direct, shoot, and edit a film under the guidance of professional filmmakers. The small class size allows each participant to get experience working in all aspects of the film production process. Many past participants have gone on to careers in film and video so this is a great opportunity to explore filmmaking as a career option.
